Dear Supporters,
Thank you for having signed the petition. Two thousand seven hundred of us have opposed the SF Recreations and Parks Department to build a new harbor, obstructing the view from the Marina Green Promenade while not remediating the pollution issue in the current East Harbor next to Ft Mason.
2,700 is a big number and enough of a critical mass to demonstrate to the SF officials that they should listen to their constituents and visitors before making bad decisions. At this stage, the petition will close.
I invite you to register on www.keepthewaterfrontopen.org if you haven't done it yet; you will get updates and, if you desire, provide input and feedback from the site.
Another simple and effective action is to email SF's mayor, London Breed, london.breed@sfgov.org, or tweet (or X) her @LondonBreed, stating your opposition to the plan. An example of a message you could send is: "Dear Madam Mayor, please reconsider the ill-conceived Marina renovation project that your RPD leadership is pushing without listening to your voters and SF lovers".
Thank you again - with special mention to those who contributed money to promote the petition and gather more signatures.
Best regards
Laurent
