Glenn Youngkin is trying to pass a phone ban in schools. This is bad because many students need their personal cellular devices in case of emergency, for contact to transportation, parents may not be able to contact children in case of personal matters, and other reasons. Another reason it would be bad is students may need their cellular devices for extracurricular activities and clubs. Our petition is not trying to completely oppose Glenn Younkin, our goal is to have students be allowed to use their phones in-between classes and during lunch.
