I am a resident of Starkey Ranch, a peaceful and quiet community that thrives with diverse wildlife. This tranquility and harmony with nature were my main reasons for choosing this place to live in - it's a sanctuary that many of us value dearly. However, the proposed extension of Rangeland Blvd creates a significant threat to our quality of life. Increased traffic would not only disrupt our tranquility with higher noise pollution but also significantly raise the risk of traffic accidents in our community and the surrounding neighborhoods. We've had multiple accidents in our neighborhood as a result of speeding already. Department of Transportation studies show that road extensions increase the accident rate by up to 30% (source: Department of Transportation). 

Moreover, the extension project could severely harm our local wildlife. Increased traffic can disrupt animal habitats, reduce populations, and increase the rate at which wildlife is hit by vehicles, as has been well-documented by studies from the Environmental Protection Agency.

Preserving all aspects of our community is crucial. It would be severely jeopardized by the proposed extension of Rangeland Blvd. Therefore, we call on local authorities to oppose this plan and seek other, more sustainable alternatives.
