Oppose DBKL selling the public road reserved land (for Jalan Jejaka 1) to the developer!

We, the residents of Taman Maluri, are opposed Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) selling the public road reserved land (for Jalan Jejaka 1) to Pavilion Integrity Sdn Bhd (the developer) to build 44-storey Platinum Mira Service Apartments.

Platinum Mira Residences are planned to be built on a narrow strip of land between Laville Kuala Lumpur and Amaya Maluri Service Apartments, which are so close to each other. Originally, this narrow land was planned for a public road, but it was sold to Pavilion Integrity Sdn Bhd for the development of 44-storey residences. This is totally irresponsible without any consideration of community well-being.

From traffic concerns to building safety concerns, we hope Sir or Madam will be able to investigate how such a tall building was able to obtain approval to be built on such a narrow piece of land while also causing additional stress for Lorong Peel users due to heavy traffic sharing the same narrow road for entering this building.

Aside from that, the proximity of the buildings increases the risk of a fire or an earthquake. Although Malaysia is currently earthquake-free, we cannot predict any changes in the climate. Furthermore, Taman Maluri is currently overburdened with multiple building structures, obstructing airflow and resulting in a lack of natural green space and proper wider roads, which affects so many communities here.
