I am a resident of the Auchterarder and Aberuthven area, and I am deeply concerned about the proposed off ramp from the A9 at Shinafoot. The construction of this off ramp will significantly increase traffic on Fues and High Street.

Increased traffic not only brings noise pollution but also poses potential safety risks for pedestrians and cyclists alike.

According to data from Transport Scotland (2018), similar projects have led to an average increase in local traffic by 25%. This could mean hundreds more vehicles passing through our streets every day.

We understand that infrastructure development is necessary for progress. Yet, it should not come at the cost of existing communities' peace and safety. We urge the relevant authorities to reconsider this project or propose alternative solutions that would cause less disruption to Auchterarder residents.
