Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude for your tremendous support. There has been notable progress on the SB403 Bill, as the term "South Asian" has been removed (although the word "Caste" still remains). Additionally, there has been significant advancement in the Aisha Wahab Recall initiative.

Now, I would like to make a few requests:

We are in need of 1000 families who can contribute a donation or pledge of $500. It is an urgent requirement to successfully complete the recall process for Senator Wahab.

Asking assemblymembers “NO on SB 403” is not enough, instead ask them these probing questions:

  1. Show me the hard data. What documented/reported cases exist for people who actually faced caste-based discrimination?
  2. Can they make it public? Just the one Cisco case keeps being referenced repeatedly, even that discrimination complaint is suspected to be made up. The court dismissed this case & was taken back by CRD.
  3. Why did CRD take back the case against the Cisco engineers?
  4. Would CA State codify + institutionalize a Colonial-era framework & blasphemous slur that’s not germane to US history & communities?
  5. Would you find comfort & common cause with groups that have a demonstrated track record of religious bigotry & hate speech?
  6. The word “caste” is deeply and stereotypically associated with the South Asian+Indian+Hindu community, which is also clear from the legislative history of the bill. Would the State consider the negative impact on South Asian+Indian+Hindu origin children/youth who would be subject to mental health & physical harm, because they will be racially profiled and stereotyped by other children/youth?

Ladies and gentlemen, the moment has arrived for us to support all Americans, including Hindu Americans and our future generations. I kindly urge you to persist in your efforts. While there have been some developments in the bill, certain amendments have not adequately addressed our concerns. Therefore, let us persist in advocating for our cause, presenting factual information, and ensuring our voices are heard.
