I greatly appreciate the community’s engagement on this matter. Too often, we see limited community involvement in local government decisions, yet community members bring important questions and perspectives that may otherwise be overlooked.

I am concerned that we are rushing into approving AI data centers without a clear understanding of their local impacts. The amount of energy this facility will require presents many unknown consequences for our community. At present, there are no new power generation facilities being built to support this level of demand. Wind and solar energy are not reliable or sustainable enough to meet such needs on their own.

Increased demand for electricity often results in higher energy costs, and there is no guarantee that this facility will not contribute to rising power prices for local residents.
