Public comments email: samp@portseattle.org My main points: Where I live, the proposed "North of NERA" rezoning project in Burien's Cedarhurst neighborhood is explicitly tied to the footprint and growth of the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Burien city planners have been working to transition an historical and densely populated residential area into an airport-compatible business district. Yet this is not included in the environmental Impact statement. The Sustainable Airport Master Plan (SAMP) expansion will effectively boost flight capacity by 30% and will dump significantly more noise and air pollution directly onto our properties. We, as residents, feel we are being forced into an industrial corridor to absorb the environmental burdens of the airport's regional growth while others benefit from the profits. We need: Community displacement analysis: the impact of the people in the North of Nera zone being forced into an industrial business zoned corridor from a historical Residential zone. Community Health Impacts: Comprehensive studies must assess localized air quality and measure the Ultra Fine Particles in neighboring municipalities. Noise Pollution and Budgets: Mitigation and compensation programs are necessary to address persistent noise. Binding Mitigation Frameworks: Legally binding agreements should replace one-time measures. True Sustainability: Infrastructure improvements must adhere to strict environmental standards. Thank you.
