The Issue

I moved to this beautiful and peaceful countryside to escape the littered sidewalks, congested streets, and the noise pollution of the city life. The open space and the tranquil atmosphere this land offers is a haven for us and many of whom who have chosen to make this community their home. The property in question, and the surrounding areas, are currently used for agricultural purposes or constitute rural residential areas. Regrettably, there is a concerning proposal looming over our peaceful community that intends to change the zoning of our agricultural land to a rural crossroads, hosting commercial enterprises.

This change could send far-reaching repercussions through our small community. Our current infrastructure, sadly, is not devised to support the commercial uses the zoning change would invite. We lack public utilities such as water and sewer management systems that modern commerce requires. Furthermore, our rural roads invite danger with increased traffic. Specifically, intersections entering and exiting the major highway, 378, would become hotspots of traffic related accidents.

Let's band together to protect our rural, agricultural paradise from the threats of commercial development. The beauty, peace, and health of our community rely on preserving the current zoning. Take a stand against the zoning change from agriculture to rural crossroads in the Case # 25-011 MA. Please sign this petition today to make your voice heard.
