Update: 8/11/23

It's not over till it's over.   Let's keep communicating that a digester is not wanted here.

We, the people of the City of New Richmond along with all persons located on the St. Croix River Watershed oppose the rezoning application of Nature Energy US LLC to the New Richmond City Council.

We believe that a large scale Manure Digester is incompatible with and can cause extreme risk to the existing public infrastructure, comprehensive plans, and the natural resources within the City of New Richmond and adjoining communities, and St. Croix County as a whole. 

Any pollution from a facility at this location as well as many locations within St. Croix County, whether to air or groundwter, road degredation or noise pollution, would adversely affect property owners and property values in the surrounding area.

Therefore, we request that the New Richmond City Council deny the current rezoning request.  Additionally, we request they develop and make a public statement consistent with the above. (Thank you Town of Star Prairie for taking this stand and for some of this language).
