Dear Supporter,

Today marks just 3 weeks until the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Board considers proposals that could fundamentally change fire cover in Helensburgh and surrounding communities.

Many of you will remember attending the packed public meeting at the Victoria Halls.

Many of you submitted consultation responses.

Many of you shared concerns about the proposal to reduce Helensburgh Fire Station from 24 hour wholetime cover and the expectation that the already stretched on call system would fill the gap.

Since then there have been consultations, reviews, delays and uncertainty.

Now, after many months, the Board is expected to make its decision on 22 June.

The campaign remains active and we will continue to ensure that the voices of local residents, businesses, community groups and firefighters are heard.

Our latest Facebook update has already reached more than 18,000 people in just over a day, demonstrating that this issue remains important to many across our area.

Over the coming weeks we will continue to provide updates as the decision date approaches.

Three weeks and counting.

Thank you for your continued support.
