Today is the day that the public consultation closes, the last chance for you to have your opinion heard. It is a huge moment which really counts.
I thank every one of you who has completed the public consultation, opposing these dangerous plans which affect not only those in Helensburgh but also those further afield in Scotland. This proposal has significant knock-on effects, making each and every one of us less safe in our homes, schools and workplaces.
Please take the 5 minutes to complete the public consultation, if you haven’t, and lodge your opposition to the downgrade of Helensburgh Fire Station before the end of today.

The end of the consultation has arrived but it’s not the end of the fight just yet. Members of the SFRS Fire Board were present at Helensburgh’s consultation meeting and work still needs to continue to make sure your voices are heard when they move towards that final decision in December.
