Please be reminded that a very important meeting will take place tomorrow where the Desert View Village Planning Committee is meeting to further review the rezoning request and will cast their actual vote.

Where: Paradise Valley Community Center (17402 N 40th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85032)

When: Tuesday October 3rd - Gathering at 5:45pm in front of the community center

Why: The current Desert Ridge Master plan is what you signed up for and we need to stick to this great plan. Our community needs to show these committee members that a lot of people oppose this commercial rezoning request as it will ruin our neighborhood, cause a lot of traffic issues and consequently will impact the safety of our children.

As you may have noticed through all the ads appearing on your social media, the developer has thrown a lot of money at the idea that it will only be a small neighborhood grocer and lot of people have fallen for this cheap tactic.
The facts are that it will be a 100,000 sqft grocer, which is the 60% bigger than the Albertsons we go to today. It has been a very disingenuous marketing campaign and underlines that this developer needs to be stopped.

We need as many people coming to this meeting that can understand that changing their busy lives and attend this 1 meeting will be a huge help to sway this committee to reject this proposal without compromise.

It will be a small effort with big consequences for your family and future families living in Desert Ridge
