Visitors flocking to our town in overwhelming numbers result in environmental degradation and strain on our small-town resources. Beyond the environmental effects, the influx of visitors also raises safety concerns and disrupts the day-to-day life of residents. Yes tourism is a big part of our community, but this drag net approach of marketing has to stop. 

We are proud of our town's natural beauty and appeal, but responsible tourism that respects Laguna Beach's ecological and cultural heritage must be our priority. The adoption of the 10-year contract without proper assessment and community consensus would only magnify the issues we're facing today. We stand for sustainable tourism that safeguards our town and its residents.
