Thank you to everyone who has taken the initiative to stay in touch — it truly means a great deal to me.

There are also many I’ve lost touch with along the way, and I genuinely wish you all the very best. I hope David Lloyd Clubs continues to support your health, happiness, and sense of community.

The journey continues. In recent months, I’ve been fortunate to connect with sports professionals, regulators, legal experts, and charities who are all working to ensure sport remains accessible — a space where people can stay active, build friendships, and develop new skills.

Given my background in compliance and regulation, and having been brought up and educated in Northwood, that club always felt like home. It’s been difficult to come to terms with how things unfolded, particularly when actions and attitudes did not reflect the values of respect and community that I hold closely.

What I do know is this: my intentions were always genuine. I gave my time voluntarily, and together we built something meaningful — a community that grew quickly, with care and shared purpose.

I’m also aware that rumours have circulated, both within and outside the club. I want to state clearly: they are not true. I have never charged anyone to book courts on their behalf, and I never would.

I remain focused on moving forward with integrity, and on continuing to support initiatives that bring people together through sport, wellbeing, and community
