Opening Doors for Immigrants: A Call for Policy and Program Change

The Issue

Immigrants to Canada are confronted with systemic barriers that hinder their access to employment, healthcare, and a sense of belonging. These obstacles prevent newcomers from fully participating in and contributing to Canadian society. We urge federal and provincial governments to urgently invest in and expand settlement services, language training, and employment support, particularly in underserved regions. It’s time to provide immigrants with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive and build a better Canada for all.
