Open Carry should be allowed for delegates at the Republican National Convention

Open Carry should be allowed for delegates at the Republican National Convention
The Issue
We the undersigned call upon the Republican National Committee (RNC) to demonstrate its support for the Second Amendment by allowing delegates at the upcoming Republican National Convention, to be held in Cleveland starting July 18, 2016, to openly carry firearms inside the convention hall. This is pursuant to Ohio's permissive open-carry law (General Provisions ch. 9.68), and the due regard Republicans have both for our Constitutional freedoms and for the august task of selecting a nominee. Some might call this is a foolish idea, given the likelihood of vociferous debate. But the only way to stop a bad delegate with a gun is to ensure the hall is full of good delegates with guns. The choice is clear: does the RNC want to uphold true conservative principles or will it give in to the liberal tyrants and RINOs?
