Today, we officially sent an email to the Village and others regarding the safety risks created by the closure of Bradford Lane. This action represents the voices of over 340 households across Lake in the Hills, Crystal Lake, Cary, Algonquin, and Huntley, all coming together to protect our community and our children. We are aware that a few residents on Bradford Lane have commented negatively about this petition, claiming they’ve “wanted the road closed for years to keep the neighborhood quieter.” It’s important to understand that this petition is not about their personal preferences — it’s about the safety of hundreds of students, parents, and staff at Indian Prairie Elementary School, and the real, measurable risks caused by the detoured traffic. It is really important that we all please continue to share the petition with friends, neighbors, and community members. Every signature strengthens our voice and helps ensure that our streets remain safe for everyone, especially our kids! Together, we can make a difference.
