Animals are being confined to small pens on a hot asphalt parking lot with little to no shade protection and with minimal care.  Additionally, to view the animals, cars must drive through narrow lanes between the pens.  These animals are now forced to breath in carbon monoxide while enduring the heat and lack of shade.

CF Limeridge Mall is operated by Cadillac Fairview who is in turn owned by the Ontario Teacher' Pension Plan.  

I am outraged and appalled that as a teacher, my pension plan is allowing this sort of mistreatment to continue.  I am also angry that there doesn't seem to be any policies in place to prevent the cruelty of animals in companies (and those they rent space to) that are owned by OTPP.

This needs to end now and proper policies need to be put in place to prevent this type of activity from continuing again.
