The crisis of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit individuals (MMIWG2S+) in Canada has left an indelible mark on families and communities nationwide. With estimates exceeding 4,000 lives lost, the absence of meaningful action following inquiries into these tragedies has deepened the wounds of those left behind.​

We propose the establishment of a Living Monument—a community garden that embodies renewal and growth—to honor those voices we cannot lose: the lives tragically cut short by this national crisis. Unlike static memorials, this living tribute will serve as a space for reflection, healing, and community gathering, allowing the spirits of our lost sisters to nurture both the land and our collective resolve for justice.​

to support and fully fund the creation of this Living Monument.​
