Effective October 1 2019, the Ontario Health Insurance Plan will no longer provide coverage for physician house calls for patients not frail/elderly and or housebound. 

This change would make the operational logistics of a house call service extremely difficult resulting in many of the prioritized elderly/homebound patients not being seen. We are significantly worried about the health impact this will have on this already at-risk population.
