No front license plates in Ontario

The Issue

First, the vehicle sticker goes on the back, because we all know that's the one that is important.

Second, motorcycles don't have them. Why?

Third, as from the photo example the front plate easily gets covered in snow, mud and bugs.

Fourth, removing the need to manufacture a front plate saves millions ($6,000,000 USD for the state of Texas as I've found in researching this, if you know how much for Ontario or other Canadian province I'll edit this).

Fifth, modern vehicles have cameras and sensors for adaptive cruise control, lane-departure alerts, and parking guides. Since these cameras and sensors are in the car's front end, a front license plate can interfere with them working properly. Such as Passive ADAS safety systems like the Lane Departure Warning (LDW) alerts the driver of unintended/unindicated lane departure; and Forward Collision Warning (FCW) indicates that a collision is imminent. In contrast, active ADAS safety systems like Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB) identifies the imminent collision and brakes without any driver intervention, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) adjusts the host vehicle speed, Lane Keeping Assist (LKA) and Lane Centering (LC) automatically steer the vehicle to stay within the lane boundaries, and Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) is a combination of both ACC and LC. All of those features are trying to pass through a front plate that is ancient tradition that needs to go.

Lastly, there are other provinces in Canada without front plate requirements, lets do away with this unnecessary and unwanted tradition and move forward!!
