It has been reported that Mayor Aldo Dicarlo and Drew Dilkens from the City of Windsor will meet today to finally sign the contract we have all opposed.
It is clear that our council and Mayor are unwilling to listen to you, nor do they care about protecting your tax dollars. This contract is being signed before we even know if there will be any severance payments owed or how much. Before a single job offer has been presented to any of our officers.
If you get a minute today, please place a call to Mayor Dilkens in Windsor at (519) 255-6315 and ask him if he intends to sign this contract just 10 days before the election and hold you, the taxpayer of Amherstburg by the throat? Or will he recognize the fact that is has been public knowledge that a new mayor, if elected would seek to revoke the contract at the will of the voters? Will he stand down and give the residents of Amherstburg what they in fact want if it is reflected in the votes on October 22, 2018?
This is our town, our police force. Lets take back what is ours before it is too late.
