OCPC has received Amherstburg's application!

ATTENTION AMHERSTBURG RESIDENTS! The Ontario Civilian Police Commission has received the application to disband the Amherstburg Police Services. NOW is the time to email your concerns in opposition to this transaction. In doing so, it is imperative that you make it clear that you "are a part of the community that feel their opposition was ignored by their council, you have reservations because this decision was not voted on by a complete council and you believe that our level of safe and effective policing will decline from the levels we as taxpayers have come to expect because we will no longer retain our Police Services Board." You should also make the request that a formal hearing be arrange for the opposition to be heard in public. If you previously sent an email or letter, YOU MUST DO IT AGAIN now that the application has been submitted. They will only include correspondence submitted after March 12, 2018 in their application review.
