Online Final Exam for Winter 2022 term at McGill University
Why this petition matters
With the arrival of the sixth wave of the new covid "BA.2" in Quebec, Montreal these days experiences more cases than before.
According to the official Quebec government website, Quebec sees more than 3,000 new cases a day recently and the trend is on the rise as most restrictions are lifted last week. More worryingly, there are many hidden positive cases that go unreported due to overloaded testing capacity.

Meanwhile, within just one week, 473 positive cases were reported due to the cancellation of social distancing and the vaccine passport on campus, which is a much larger number than ever and it's so scary and worrying.

While most students and staff are vaccinated, the high number of reported and unreported positive cases on campus with the sixth wave for new covid variant in Quebec have made us even more nervous about final exams.
Therefore, we hope that the McGill University can convert the Winter 2022 in-person final exams in April to the online format, in order to ensure the health and safety of every student and employee, and also to make the administration and the process of the exam simpler and more efficient.
