Respected Sir,

This is to bring to your notice of the recent initiative taken by the resident living in Chinnapannahalli Main Road and nearby area to streamline the traffic flow coming from Outer Ring Road via ITPL Bypass Road & Chinnapannahalli Main Road towards Graphite India and back.

 The one way proposal was thought by few social active residents to bring about positive change to the life of nearby residents, business units and also help in pass-through public by easing the heavy traffic flow happening through this area. This group of people had an active discussion with the above parties including appropriate government authorities on the proposed plan.

Post concurrence for trail from the traffic in charge we proceeded with the one way rule from 1st Feb 2016 as shown in picture To achieve this trail, we deployed four security guards at each corner from a private security agency. Funds were arranged from nearby residents and business unit for this initiative considering this as a social cause.

 So far the success rate is very high and we have seen the new rule being adopted by passerby even without the presence of security guard to a larger extent. The time taken to pass this area has come down from 20 – 30 minutes during peak-time to less than 3 minutes. We had media coverage of this initiative in Deccan Herald on 6th Feb 2016 and radio 104.0 FM on 9th Feb 2016. Everyone we met have actively supported this proposal seeing the success and benefits it is bringing to the society.

This one-way rule can bring positive impact to the lives of the nearby community and passerby equally. Apart from the time reduction for normal person, the chances of a person in distress reaching place of help would be dramatically improved. This can make a difference between life and death. The time saved on road can also improve the state of person be it working or non-working or student and he can devote his time more productively. The road rage some people go through due to constants bad traffic has also come down thus promoting general peace and harmony in the society. Plus one way would also result in lesser road accident as these are narrow roads with no marked divider.

 We have been running this trail since February 2016. We look forward for a positive response at your end with promptness in order to ensure the one way rule as suggested gets implemented both in spirit and letter of law.
