Tick Tock - Tick Tock 3 days remaining Fri 3rd April
What people are saying: TRANSPARENCY
Recent objections repeatedly raise concerns about:
the lack of clarity around the wider site and future housing
the leisure centre being presented without the full masterplan
residents not being shown the complete picture of what is proposed
Many are questioning why the surrounding development is not clearly included, and how decisions can be made without understanding the full impact of the scheme.
There are also concerns about missing or incomplete information within supporting documents, including comparisons with existing facilities.
This is not a one-off comment. It is becoming a consistent theme across multiple objections.
Latest position:
Objections: 381
Supporting: 40
It’s not just about numbers. Planning decisions are based on material considerations, and what matters is the consistency and substance of the points being raised.
Even with a high level of objection, the Council can still approve the scheme. But the more detailed and repeated the concerns, the harder they are to ignore and the more they need to be addressed in the final report.
