Problem
Palmetto High School, the city of Palmetto Florida and the surrounding community has been ignored for too long by our school district. Our school has existed as an institution of learning for over 60 years and the community wants to see it get the recognition it deserves. We therefore respectfully ask that our elected officials with the Manatee County School Board do the right thing and comply with our request to maintain Palmetto High as the ONLY PHS in Manatee County!
Solution
We are asking the school board to show it's respect and honor Palmetto High's legacy and history by making it the only institution in the county with the distinction of having the abbreviation of "PHS".

Personal story
We are citizens with a deep sense of pride for Palmetto, Palmetto High and our community! We respect our neighbors and their ability to ask for a name consideration in this process, however, not at the expense of our Name, our brand and our legacy!
