Following the tragic stabbing of Henry Nowak, many people across the UK are demanding urgent action on knife laws and public safety and to end the ‘Two tier policing’, we need to tighten the laws!

We call on the UK Government to immediately review and remove religious exemptions that allow individuals to carry bladed weapons in public spaces.

No exemption should place public safety at risk.

Freedom of religion is highly commendable and should be respected but this must never outweigh the safety of the public. 

The law should apply equally to everyone, regardless of religion or cultural background.

At a time when knife crime continues to devastate families and communities, the Government must act decisively to strengthen & tighten the law, restore public confidence, and close loopholes that permit the carrying of blades in public.
