The Issue

Big feet. Bigger personality. A single day on the calendar?

We’ve got something to say about that.

At Shredding Sassy, Sasquatch is part of who we are. A little wild. Hard to miss. Impossible to put in a box. So naturally, we think October 20’s National Sasquatch Awareness Day deserves some room to roam.

We’re asking National Day Calendar to recognize October as National Sasquatch Month, beginning in 2027, with October 20 remaining the big day within an even bigger celebration.

Thirty-one days to get outside, find your people and Shred Your Way.

Hit a trail. Roll up to your local skatepark. Make something rad. Pick up litter along your favorite route. Bring someone along who’s never tried it before. There’s more than one way to leave a big footprint.

This is about giving people a reason to show up, have fun and do a little good together. A whole month means more room for community meetups, local events, creative collaborations and adventures worth putting your phone down for.

Believer? You’re in. Skeptic? You too. Just here for the Sasquatch? We get it.

We’re getting this started at Shredding Sassy, but it takes a whole crew to make it big. Fans, athletes, artists, local shops and fellow Sasquatch enthusiasts: consider this your invitation.

Sign the petition. Rally your #yewcrew. Help us make October National Sasquatch Month.

Bigfoot deserves more than one day.
The rest of us could use a little more sass.

Shred Your Way.
