The original, locally created and locally produced rock anthem for The Eclipse Escapade, "Eclipsecstatic," has reached 814 views.  Please help me get to 1000 views by October 14th.  What's the significance of this date?  It's the day of our annular, partial solar eclipse, the eclipse that escapader Rik Yeams refers to as our "dress rehearsal."  If you share "Eclipsecstatic" on your social media site, please be sure to mention that the hospitality this rock anthem calls for is for the April 8th eclipse of next year - the total eclipse of the sun.  We don't want people to mistakenly believe the annular eclipse is the BIG deal.  Don't get me wrong, the annular WILL be a sight to behold, but a total solar eclipse is the most ethereal sight you will ever see from space.

It is the total solar eclipse that will attract a torrent of tourists to Western New York.  Astronomers with the Buffalo Astronomical Association believe Western New York could receive between 500,000 and 1,000,000 tourists just to witness the April 8 eclipse.  Hotels and AirBnB's combined, Erie County can only lodge 11,000.  500,000 people could fill Highmark Stadium seven times over.  If our guests can't find a place to stay, they will be obliged to drive out at 4:30 pm, right at rush hour.  Imagine what the highway is like during a home game of Bills, and then multiply that by seven.  We could have the traffic jam of the millennium.  We must find a way to make Buffalo welcoming to umbraphiles!

So, please share the rock anthem "Eclipsecstatic" with interested people and on all your social media platforms.  Let them know it is for the April 8 eclipse.  And let's get to 1000 before the annular!  Here is "Eclipsecstatic."  Are You Eclipsecstatic?
