A large section of the Olympic park has been closed off to make way for a new residential development... I live in the East Village and this cordoned off area was widely used by residents and visitors.

It feels very odd building this residential development is happening within the gates of a public park.

I feel like our park space has been compromised and am concerned about the future of the park around that area after the development completes..

Why weren't the surrounding residents consulted about this development particularly when they all pay a "park charge"?

Surely this is also not good for the environment taking away vital green space from the park for a residential development that East Wick can profit from!
