If buying/selling a life is so easy, then why don't we buy/sell our kids too? 

UPDATE: OLX is a platform that is clearly AGAINST ADOPTION of ANIMALS. 

Animals are no commodities & no platform should encourage buying/selling of animals. In a country like India, platform like yours should educate people that animals cannot be sold. 

We want you to take down the "Animals" category and decline any sale of animals on your platform. You may be a corporate earning millions of money every day: our request is, if you cannot help animals directly, at least don't ruin the sentiments of animal lovers. 

Reason why buying/selling of animals needs to be banned on OLX:

a. OLX does not verify its buyer/sellers. This leads to mushrooming of small time illegal breeders who do it just for the sake of money. OLX is encouraging this behavior

b. Indian Strays: While there are NGOs & volunteers all over the country striving hard to get the Indian stray population adopted, OLX encourages breeding of dogs & cats by creating a platform.

c. Pedigree dogs are not meant for Indian condition: No one in this country (INDIANS) want their own breed (INDIAN). Every one fantasize of having a breed like Lab, Retriever who are actually meant for different weather conditions. Imagine you wearing a thick fur coat on a hot 45 degree summer day and roaming around! That is how animals feel. Unfortunately, OLX platform is contradicting to the whole ideology that NGOs have. When such pedigree animals are bred in India & sold, the young ones are not able to withstand the weather & end up falling sick. The end result: Abandoning of pets. OLX can't control that, can you?

d. Every home needs a dog: The living conditions  of animals in developed countries like UK & US is much better. They love animals so much (in general) and their primary source of getting a pet home would be adopting from a shelter. You do not find strays there like how you find in India. 

e. Since OLX does not verify the buyers/sellers, it becomes a platform for puppy mill owners who buy female dogs. She will then be used a puppy producing factory spending her time inside a small cage for the whole life, eating very minimal food, not playing, sitting in her own shit, congested. Once she reaches a stage where she can't get pregnant, the same buyer (unverified buyer of OLX) will either kill her or throw her in the road. This is after all the puppies that she has delivered to make him rich by selling those puppies on OLX, thereby becoming an unverified seller. Please don't deny any of the above, because this is what is happening without you noticing it. 

We have given you 5 reasons & we are sure, we can come up with many more undeniable reasons.
