The use of forceps during birth should be banned do to the death of Olivia Marie Coats, and other known cases of long term effects of the tool (blindness, damage to brain, etc). Olivia's skull was crushed and spine fractured during delivery when her doctor decided to use forceps instead of performing an emergency C-Section. The purpose of this petition is to ban this tool from all states so that this tragic event is never repeated.
