The Issue

On January 29. 2026, I took my 2 and a half year old dog to a local groomer. I had used this facility in the past and never experienced any issues. The only change this time was we had a new groomer. My origional groomer had left the business.

When I arrived to pick Olive up, the groomer mentioned that she had nicked Olive close to her eye. When we arrived home she was unusually quiet.

As the evening went on she remained very quiet. Two days later she died in my arms.

In the dats since I have researched Grooming policies and regulations only to find that in the province of Nova Scotia there are no rules or policies.

I am fighting to change this. I ask everyone to sign this petition and share it with your friends and family. I do not want Olive's death to be in vain.
