This petition is to bring awareness to Old Township, McLean County, and the Illinois Commerce Commission (Railroad Safety Specialist) to inquire about enhanced railroad crossing safety (warning lights and gates) just South of the school. With the recent accident involving a Cornerstone alumna, on her way to the school to help, we hope to expedite the implementation of enhanced safety signals at the following crossings:

Crossing 1: Railroad Crossing, N 2150 East Road (Currently no lights or gates)
Crossing 2: Railroad Crossing, N 2250 East Road (Currently no lights or gates)

Many families, staff and students drive through these crossings each day and neither have any safety signals, lights, or gates to block traffic from oncoming trains. 

Our hope is to have you sign this petition requesting enhanced safety signals to be added to these crossings within a quarter mile of the school.

Thankfully, though the Cornerstone alumna was injured in the recent train/vehicle accident, she is recovering well as God has brought her through this tragic event. Our hope is to keep future drivers safe as they cross these tracks.
