My sister works for Old Navy. For the past few years they have opened on Thanksgiving Day, and this year they are extending their work hours to 10pm. The employees are required to work a shift on Thanksgiving and also required to work a shift on Black Friday, which begins at midnight. Many of these employees, including my sister, are forced to work on this National holiday and then come back a few hours later for Black Friday leaving very little time to spend with their families. The driving force behind any retail business opening on a day such as Thanksgiving is nothing other than pure Greed. It is completely unfair to force someone to spend time away from their family's in order to gain a sale.
