Dear supporters, We would like to sincerely thank you for supporting our cause and putting down your name on this petition so that all our voices are heard together. Because of your support, our petition has garnered the attention of Old Chang Kee and Polar Puffs, and they have broken their silence on their palm oil use. Polar Puffs mentions that they use very little palm oil and that this oil comes from sustainable sources. But before we launched this campaign, we have had a call from on of their employees confirming that their oil is not RSPO certified. The small percentage of palm oil in their ingredients does not excuse them from the impact they are making and in fact means that the switch to RSPO oil will be of negligible cost to them. OCK states that they are qualifying suppliers to provide both healthier choice and RSPO oil. Thus we ask that both Old Chang Kee and Polar Puffs, show evidence of the sustainability of their palm oil or commit to a deadline to switch to sustainable palm oil. RSPO is the closest we currently have to ascertain that palm oil is produced through sustainable means. We would like to work with the companies to make the commitment to using RSPO oil only.
