Give the People of Oklahoma their Unemployment Benefits & Hold the OESC Accountable!

The Issue

This petition is for the 10's of 1000's of Oklahomans who still havent received the benefits they are entitled to due to the gross negligence of OESC! Part of that negligence was hiring out of state call representatives and training those employees to handle SENSITIVE and CONFIDENTIAL information of taxpaying Oklahomans to avoid their job duties of processing numerous of claims. OESC was also negligent by allowing glitches in their system to continue to mess with our claims. Many Oklahomans believe they have been purposely stalling to pay out on claims and are starting to question the so called glitches! What if in fact OESC system is working exactly how it’s supposed to work.. and that is not working at all? 

OESC's sets forth policies and procedures for a claimant to meet a SCHEDULED time frame for filing a claim, yet OESC has yet to follow any sequential date standards for communicating via email, phone line, nor snail mail.
Several claimants bog down the UI phone lines with the same question or request for ASSISTANCE! OESC only responds via media outlets but chooses NOT to respond to individuals or MASS numbers of claimants with same issues!

OESC has truly let us down.  If you are sick of your questions being ignored, your claims pushed aside and empty promises to fix UI, PUA or PUEC unpaid claims not kept... its time we do something about it. We need to hold them accountable!

Posted below are MANY OF THE situations people filing for unemployment have faced on a day to day basis. If you've experienced issues like these than please sign and share the petition if you are ready to stand up and fight for the benefits you are owed. 

●If you are trying to file on the website and keep getting an internal issue error 

●If you have resolved an issue holding up payment on your claim only to be faced with another

●If your claim can not move forward until you talk to a tier 2. I know most have been waiting 6-10 weeks on a call we now know isnt coming

●If you have never been in contact with OESC and your claim status has changed 5 times in a month 

●If while filing a weekly claim you receive an error that you won't be paid this week... because a question you answered the same as all previously approved weeks... now requires your claim to be investigated

●If you are finally awarded PUA, able to file back weekly claims but now cant file current weekly claim

●If you have logged in to your claim and found a social security number that wasn't yours or had other personal info changed 

●If your claim has shown "allowed, pending further review" for weeks upon weeks without any updates

●If you were paid on your claim but can't access the money due to waiting on a way2go debit card Or recieved an error when trying to set up direct deposit

●If your email to the Fraud Dept about a fraudulent claim filed with your info goes unanswered

These are only a few of the issues OESC has dropped the ball on...unfortunately there are hundreds of others. OESC and the State of Oklahoma have let us Oklahomans down. The heartache of losing everything while hoping and praying relief is coming... is more than anyone should ever have to endure! Things have to change... Claims need to be paid and issues need to be resolved.
