Oklahoma Teacher Walkout: Let SB1086 (Capital Gains) be Heard on the House Floor

0 have signed. Let’s get to 15,000!

Currently, a bill to end capital gains deductions could provide 120 million dollars in funds for the Oklahoma general education budget. These funds would dramatically impact conditions for students of public schools in Oklahoma, helping our state to offer much-needed educational opportunities to the children and young people who will one day lead the state.

This bill has already passed in the Oklahoma Senate. However, Majority Floor Leader Jon Echols and Speaker Charles McCall refuse to bring the bill to the House floor for a vote.

If you are an Oklahoman who wants to see our public education system improved, and especially if you reside in the districts of either Speaker McCall or Floor Leader Echols, please join us in petitioning these men to bring SB1086 to the floor during the second session of the 56th Oklahoma Legislature, which ends on May 25th, 2018.
