Mise à jour sur la pétitionSaving Crab Island VendorsAttention: Okaloosa County Locals Needed

Good Morning! Thank you all again for signing this petition. Just heard if we can get 1500 Okaloosa County signatures, we could possibly get this on the upcoming ballot to keep the vendors as is. The bottom line of all of this is .. are you okay with government officials coming in and interrupting free enterprise? Whether you go to Crab Island or not, whether you think it’s an eyesore or not, whether you don’t care if the vendors are there or not ... what you should care about and what should bother you is the County coming in and making ordinances to put legal companies out of business for their personal gain.  Legal Commerce is legal commerce! The vendors deserve to be treated just like legal land businesses. And that is what this is all really about. If they were truly breaking the law that is one thing. But don’t make ordinances up so that you force them out because they are doing things legally and it’s the only way to get rid of them.  No one ... No one should have their livelihoods jeopardized this way.  It’s not just the vendor owners, it’s all the employees that work there. Kids first summer jobs! Unemployed professionals who worked there to make ends meet and found a new love for being in the water. You probably know someone who has at some point worked out there! Again, these new ordinances do not only effect the vendors with structures, it also effects the excursions that just go out there a few hours, the ice cream boats .. EVERY business  that touches Crab Island.  So please Okaloosa County residents .. please pass this petition on to your Okaloosa County families, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. This Board of Commissioner’s have got to go.  It’s time to get people in there that care about the people... not themselves. So please please please share. It’s much bigger than saving the vendors .. but it’s a great place to start!
