On Fridays and Sundays, students and members of the public travel from Dublin to Sligo. We are supplied with cold commuter trains with not half enough seats forcing many students to have to stand for the duration of the three hour journey or however long their journey is. This is atrocious as all customers who have purchased a ticket have all paid the same price and expect to be treated the same, i.e. guaranteed a seat. Not only this, the number of people standing is also a health and safety issue. Please support this petition to show Irish Rail that we need better quality and trains with more carriages in order to supply people with the standard they expect when paying for expensive train tickets home.
