My grandsons football league charges a registration fee per child to join. There are also a lot of extra costs and time involved. There is nothing in the league bylaws that states that all of the children will get to play in the games. There are several on my grandsons team who do not get to play. I  have talked to several other parents with sons on different teams in the same league, and most of the teams are doing the same thing. These boys all practice hard, and this is affecting their self confidence and esteem.  I would like there to be a rule in the bylaws that all kids get to play a reasonable amount of time in each game. This is the time for them to learn. The good from the bad can be sorted out in high school.  But when you have to pay to join a team, you should be garunteed play time.
