Just to provide a brief update: The meeting with the VP and Executive Director of the Alumni Association is now scheduled for Monday afternoon. I will be discussing with her our outrage over the choice of these dates, brainstorm alternative dates for BAR 2016 and solutions for future years when it comes to the vetting process of dates for BAR. I will do my best to share our concerns that have been outline in your comments on this petition and in the FB group, but if anyone wants to speak to me directly, feel free to message me on FB! We also have gotten major support from current students who are putting together a letter from black student leaders to sign, and student leaders are even offering to host and plan this weekend during the academic year. Students are also contacting The Post and Student Senate to ensure we are having our voices heard on as many platforms as possible. In the meantime, I encourage everyone to continue to share this petition, and call and email The President's Office, the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, and The Alumni Association.
