Takota Hasty was brutally murdered at the age of 19 months. He was thrown, beaten, had multiple broken bones and burned with cigarettes by his mother and her boyfriend all over a period of 3 days. They both have been able to make plea deals. One receiving only 3 to 7 years and the other 18 years. Takota would not even be an adult before his killers are released from prison. Where is Takotas second chance? Who is protecting the children's rights? Our family (Takotas family) and many supporters are devastated that these killers are going to be able to be free after committing such an act of violence. This is becoming a terrible common issue and needs immediate attention. Our petition is that if a adult person intentionally harms a child that results in the loss of a life, they should be sentenced to life in prison, at the least. These children have no way of defending themselves. The babies that die at the hands of violence are innocent!
