Ohio Parole Board: STOP the parole of Mark J. Sotka, confessed convicted murderer of Angel Ormston
On July 31, 1992 Mark Sotka brutally murdered Angel Ormston and hide her body for an agonizing 4 months before going to have pizza with friends. While the city, state and nation looked for Angel, Mark went on with his life as if it had never happened. Angel's badly decomposed body was found on December 15, 1992 lying face down in a water filled ditch.
On December 31, 1992, Mark was arrested for the kidnapping and murder of Angel Ormston. He later signed a detailed statement admitting that he punched Angel in the face and stabbed her twice near her heart.
The loss of Angel devastated her family, friends and neighbors. The community lost an amazing young woman, who was an Angel on earth before being taken by the hands of a thoughtless and calculating killer.
In order to avoid the death penalty Mark plead guilty and was sentenced in February 1993.
We, the undersigned, STRONGLY OPPOSE the release of Mark J Sotka. Justice demands he serve the max sentence of life for this heinous, brutal crime.
