Shut Down Cleveland Area No Kill/Underdog Rescue

The Issue

Cleveland Area No Kill, originally called Cleveland Dog Rescue and  Training was raided in Geauga County by Geauga Humane Officers on August 28, 2016. They were shut down, with 15 dogs being seized. This rescue kept no records, making it impossible to determine the origin of most of the seized dogs. The dogs were left in filth, without basic necessities, and many were left outdoors in plus 90° temperatures. In short, they were abandoned. The dogs were subsequently surrendered to the Humane Society, voluntarily by Dan Makara, holder of the Dept of Agriculture license. Since the raid, Makara has renamed the rescue Cleveland Area No Kill. He has moved location to an address in Cleveland. No rescue should be allowed to be shut down in one location, just to move operations to a new location. We are asking his license be revoked.
