On November 13th, 2018, I picked up a dog that had been so badly beaten over a period of four months that nearly every bone in her body was broken or fractured. Sadly, Mocha was sent to heaven the next day, but I refused to allow her death to go unpunished.

Through relentless posting and media pressure, Quin Markins was charged with a felony and misdemeanor count of animal cruelty. He subsequently plead guilty to the felony charge and was given 180 days in jail with his prison sentence being suspended. He was released early however, and immediately violated the terms of his felony probation. He was then sentenced to serve out the remainder of his sentence at the Lorain Correctional Institution in Lorain, OH, until February 15th, 2020. Under ORC 2967.19, he is statutorily eligible for early release after he reaches the 80% Court Release Date, which is December 4th, 2019. 

I am asking that everyone sign and share this petition to the ODRC and the powers that be, imploring that Quin Markins be made to serve out his entire sentence. Mocha's life mattered, but not to him. He actually smiled at me when he got sentenced to prison -- the sign of a true sociopath.
