Remove 'streaming' from the UK Singles Chart. Only make SALES count!
The Issue
The inclusion of streaming has ruined the UK charts forever. Since the streaming was introduced to the charts, many songs have spent 3 or more weeks at the number one spot due to this.
This has resulted in the song "One Dance" by Drake spending over THIRTEEN weeks at number 1 and unfairly stopping songs like "This Is What You Came For" by Calvin Harris and Rihanna and "Can't Stop The Feeling!" by Justin Timberlake reaching number 1!! The two songs mentioned would have definitely reached number 1 had the charts only focused on sales, but were stopped due to the new unfair chart rules.
Myself and a number of other music lovers believe that the streaming rule is a disgrace and it stops good songs from reaching the deserved number 1 spot. Unless the chart rules are changed back to how they were, the singles chart is well and truly DEAD!!! Something must be done about this. The sooner the better.
