Optimum Has To Go in Old Bridge, NJ

The Issue

We, the residents of Old Bridge, New Jersey demand that the contract with Altice USA, Inc. (a/k/a Optimum) and/or CSC TKR, LLC, d/b/a Cablevision of Raritan Valley (Hereinafter referred to as “Optimum”) not be renewed for a consecutive term to be defined at the time of expiration of the current contract for cable television, internet service and phone service.

During the current contract period, Optimum has not delivered quality, uninterrupted service; has not delivered adequate customer service; has inflicted erroneous charges on customers’ bills; has willfully and wantonly subjected the residents of Old Bridge, NJ to sudden and unexpected interruption of service for indeterminate amounts of time; has unilaterally raised rates to customers which rate increases are unsubstantiated; has refused to credit residents for interrupted service and has otherwise been negligent in their providing of services to include cable television, internet and telephone. WHEREFORE, the residents of Old Bridge demand the Mayor of Old Bridge, NJ and/or the designated official within the Administrative Office To (1) cancel the current contract with Optimum; (2) negotiate a new contract with a different, scrupulous cable company such as XFinity; and (3) negotiate and procure more companies to compete and earn the business of Old Bridge, NJ residents for cable television, internet and home phone service.
